Returns and Refunds Policy

Effective date: 8 September 2026

This policy applies to purchases made from Lil Da Vinci through lildavinci.co.za. It explains how returns, exchanges and refunds are handled. Nothing in this policy removes any right that cannot lawfully be excluded under South African consumer law.

Change-of-mind returns

For qualifying online purchases, you may request a change-of-mind return within 7 days after receiving your order, where the statutory cooling-off provisions of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act apply.

To qualify for a change-of-mind return, the product must be unused, unopened, complete, and in its original packaging. DIY painting kits and party favour packs include paint pots, brushes and plaster figurines, so opened, used, incomplete or damaged packs cannot be accepted for change-of-mind returns.

The direct cost of returning goods for a change-of-mind return is for the customer’s account. Once the return has been received and checked, we will process any approved refund to the original payment method.

Outside the applicable statutory cooling-off period, change-of-mind returns are not automatically accepted, but you are welcome to contact us and we will assist where we reasonably can.

Damaged, incorrect or incomplete orders

If your order arrives damaged, incorrect or missing items, please contact us as soon as possible with your order number and clear photos of the product and packaging. Once we have assessed the issue, we will arrange the most suitable remedy, which may include replacement, exchange or refund.

If the issue was caused by Lil Da Vinci or occurred before delivery to you, you will not be charged a return courier fee for resolving that issue.

Defective goods

South African consumers have statutory rights under the Consumer Protection Act. If goods are defective, unsafe, of poor quality, or not reasonably suitable for their intended purpose, you may have the right to return them within 6 months of delivery and choose a repair, replacement or refund, where the Act applies.

This does not apply where a product has been damaged through misuse, neglect, accidental damage, normal wear and tear, or handling that is not consistent with the product’s intended use.

How to request a return

Please contact Lil Da Vinci before sending anything back so that we can confirm the return details and help you choose the correct return method.

Please include your order number, the name used at checkout, the reason for the return, and photos where the product is damaged, incorrect or incomplete.

Refund timing

Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method. Bank and payment-provider processing times may vary. Where a statutory refund period applies, we will process the refund within the period required by law.
